I’m Ivanna, a Therapist for Adults and Adolescents

Life can feel like a lot.

You may be juggling anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, or simply trying to hold everything together without burning out. Some days feel isolating. Like you’re expected to keep going even when you’re exhausted or overwhelmed.

You don’t have to do this alone.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with over five years of experience in the mental health field. I believe healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and supported. My work is grounded in balance, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s capacity to grow, at their own pace and in their own way.

Ivanna Troch-Candelo, LPC

I am bilingual in Spanish and English and identify as first-generation myself. These experiences deeply inform my work with immigrant and first-generation individuals and families. I strive to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed care that honors your identity, values, and lived experiences, without requiring you to explain or minimize who you are to feel understood.

I bring over 15 years of connection to military life, having served on active duty, as a spouse to a Marine, and as the sister of a fallen soldier. These lived experiences allow me to work meaningfully with service members, veterans, first responders, spouses, and children navigating grief, trauma, transition, and the unique demands of high-stress lifestyles. I understand both the resilience required and the cost it can carry.

Clinically, I have extensive experience in community mental health working with individuals facing complex and co-occurring mental health needs. I support teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, and dual diagnoses.

As a Houston native, I understand the daily pressures of city life, work demands, school stress, family responsibilities, cultural expectations, and simply getting through the day.

My Philosophy

Therapy with me isn’t about being perfect or polished. It’s about keeping it real, building insight, learning practical tools, and creating meaningful change that feels sustainable.

My approach is collaborative and client-centered. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), while tailoring therapy to your unique goals, needs, and pace. I believe therapy works best when you feel respected, empowered, and actively involved in the process.

My goal is to offer a safe, supportive space where healing feels possible and growth feels achievable. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your child, I aim to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you move forward.

You don’t have to carry everything on your own anymore.
When you’re ready, I’m here to support you.
