I’m Kacee, a Therapist for Adults, Adolescents, & Couples

Life can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re managing everyday stress, navigating difficult relationships, or carrying the weight of past experiences that still affect you today. You may feel unsure where to start or wonder if things can really change.

You don’t have to face it alone.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Abilene Christian University. I have worked across a wide range of settings, including residential treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, community-based mental health, and private practice. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of need.

I have extensive experience working with teens, young adults, and adults in individual, group, couples, and family therapy. My clinical interests include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and family conflict. I am especially passionate about helping clients understand how past experiences, particularly trauma and attachment-related wounds, can shape present-day thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

Kacee Soto, LPC-S

Through both clinical work and research, I have focused on the impact of attachment and trauma, including PTSD related to sexual abuse. This foundation informs my ability to approach therapy with sensitivity, care, and respect for each person’s lived experience.

My goal is to offer a supportive, steady presence as you begin or continue your healing journey. One that honors where you are and where you hope to go.

My Philosophy

I believe therapy works best when clients feel understood, respected, and met where they are. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, meaning we work together to identify your goals and develop a treatment plan that fits your unique needs and pace.

I view each client as having the inner strength and capacity for growth, even when it doesn’t feel accessible at first. My role is to help you recognize those strengths, build insight, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges more effectively.

Whether you are working through trauma, managing mood or anxiety symptoms, or addressing family or relationship concerns, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing feels possible. I am honored to walk alongside you throughout the therapeutic process and support you as you move toward greater stability, understanding, and well-being.
